The factory originated in Muvattupuzha in 1955 by Mr. Kuriakose Cheriya. The first product was spade made by hand forging by skilled workers. In 1982, the factory renovated by Mr. N.K Alias as Popular Metals with the emergence of new products. Due to increased demand in the market, the factory implemented machines to speed up the production process. In 2005, the factory again renovated by Mr. Babu Alias as Popular Agro Metals and new products was introduced. The current factory is automated to attain high quality production to meet the customer demand.
